General Bug Fixes and Improvements

 

  • Fix to leaderboard spam in log that caused crash
  • Fix to crash when starting game offline, connecting to internet then trying to join a lobby
  • Recover last cached points to show when players start app without internet
  • Added logging of game and player data for dev metrics

Multiplayer Matchmaking and Server Optimizations

 

  • Updated multiplayer console options
    • Quick Join
      • Join first available server with an open slot, even those that are already in an active match
      • “Open slots” are considered to be slots that have been filled with AI (whether Agent or Nul) or slots that are still unfilled in public lobbies (before starting a match)
    • Enter Lobby Code
      • Enter a known code to join a specific lobby with available slots, even when it is already in a match
    • Host Private Lobby
      • Start up a new lobby that only can be joined with a code at startup, but can be opened up to any players by hitting a switch in the lobby
  • Joining an ongoing match
    • For the player joining:
      • Will apply to Quick Join and Enter Code options on Multiplayer console
      • You will replace an AI bot that is currently in the game
      • You will not join an ongoing game if:
        • You attempt to join within 11 seconds of server travel from Lobby to map
        • You attempt to join within 2 minutes of the end of Terminal Restoration 
        • You attempt to join during Monster Hunt
      • If no ongoing game is available to join, you will go into a new public lobby
    • For players already in game:
      • Voiceover notification will play when a new player joins

Audio

 

  • Reaper jump sound effect volume increased from 0.75 to 2.0
  • New sound effect variations for Reaper jumping/falling
  • Cooldown timer applied to Reaper jumping/falling sound effects so it is not spammed when in air for extended amounts of time
  • Increased Kibbler’s Stun Pulse charge and release volume from 0.75 to 0.85
  • Kibbler ability sounds removed from animations and applied as individual events
    • Start of ability sound effect and release sound effect should play with attenuation for nearby Nul and Agents
  • New sound effect for Decoy Launcher activation
  • Reduced volume of Agent’s voice when talking into walkie in proximity to Nul by 70%
  • End-of-match voice over added back in

Agents

 

  • Downed Agents now have their customized patterns applied
  • Limited ability to change color and patterns to single-player and multiplayer lobbies
  • Reduced delay between being hit and the effect applying when stunned by Kibbler’s abilities
  • Stunned Agents now glow white
  • Agents cannot be damaged while hiding in a full-health, closed locker
  • Agents revert to stunned speed (instead of walk speed) when stunned while sprinting  

Nul

 

  • Reaper
    • Capped maximum fling speed at 800
    • Increased fling speed multiplier from 25 to 35
  • Kibbler
    • Stun Pulse animation fixed to show player movement while charging slam
    • Ability effects now cancel when Kibbler is stunned 
    • Reduced Stun Pulse shockwave scale from 50 to 38
    • Cooldown orbs now correlate to the controller hand that used the ability
    • Fixed Charge Leap ability so that it doesn’t launch player in weird directions when using at max charge
    • Fixed Charge Leap ability to prevent redirection in mid-air

AI

 

  • Agent
    • Fixed bug in Arctic map that placed AI Agents under the platform to the right of the hanger while working on the terminal
    • AI Agents are more aggressive during Monster Hunt and will not run away from Nul as much
    • Stun effects from Kibbler abilities now apply to AI Agents
  • Reaper
    • BioSurge blockers appear more quickly making it harder to escape as Agents

Challenge Maps and Single Player Lobby

 

  • Challenge Map 1
    • Clarified instructions for final objective
  • Challenge Map 2
    • Final objective instructions always visible
  • Challenge Map 5
    • Stun Pulse ability now correctly stuns Agent AI
  • Single Player Lobby
    • Fix for not being able to insert tapes after ejecting and grabbing them
    • Removed “Host Public Lobby” option
    • XP from Challenge Maps should now award correctly

Maps

 

  • Arctic
    • Fixed collision near Agent spawn portal

Perks 

 

  • Show and Tell reveal time increased from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds

Loadout Equipment and Items

 

  • Proximity Launcher ammo increased from 7 to 10
  • Decoy Launcher refunds ammo if capsule does not successfully deploy a decoy
  • Refactored pistol firing to use two separate abilities so they have individual cooldowns
  • Increased pistol fire cooldown from 0.25 to 0.50 seconds
  • Fix for walkie talkie becoming invisible when entering locker while holding it

UI and Pause Menu

 

  • Instructions for how to join multiplayer are now displayed in the Lobby tab of the Pause Menu while in the Single Player area
  • Fix for changing selected monster after hitting the Nul button
  • Added invisible button to tabs to refresh player XP when clicking anywhere on player data
  • Fixed background color of “Failed to Join Server” notification
  • End of round “Win/Lose” notification displays correct role names (Nul/Agent)
  • Added instruction/reminder text above the private-to-public lever in multiplayer lobby
  • When in single-player lobby, the “Lobby” tab in the Pause Menu now gives instructions for joining multiplayer lobbies
  • Typo fixed on Announcements
  • New model for large console message and re-bake
  • Added pattern “Arcade Carpet” to Purchases tab
  • Added loading screen when using the “Exit Multiplayer” button
  • Added server code to “Lobby” tab in Pause Menu
  • Added instructions for multiplayer server types for in the multiplayer terminal in the lobby
  • Add checks when bringing up the Pause Menu to see if the player is in a widget interaction area
